Science Appliance joined Habitat for Humanity’s Blitz Build for a day of Ted Lasso-style teamwork and good vibes! Whether it’s fixing appliances or building homes, we believe in showing up for our neighbors.
This September, the Science Appliance team had the privilege of joining Habitat for Humanity's annual Blitz Build, where volunteers from across the community come together to raise homes in record time for families in need.
The week-long event had a sports theme, and our assigned day was all about soccer — so of course, we channeled our inner Ted Lasso! With “Believe” as our motto, our crew brought teamwork, positivity, and a good dose of fun to the build site. From rolling paintbrushes to hanging ceiling fans, we were reminded that small efforts can make a big difference when everyone shows up with a shared purpose.

At Science Appliance, community service isn’t just an occasional event — it’s part of who we are. Giving back through hands-on work aligns with the same values that guide our business every day: hard work, integrity, and caring for our neighbors.
We’re proud to partner with organizations like Lubbock's Habitat for Humanity, who share our belief that everyone deserves a not just a roof over their head, but a fair chance to create stability and opportunity for their family. Whether it’s repairing a refrigerator that keeps a family’s food safe or helping build the walls that will shelter them — we see both as acts of service that strengthen our community.

The Blitz Build is more than construction — it’s a powerful reminder of what can happen when local businesses, volunteers, and nonprofits come together. Seeing dozens of teams working side-by-side toward the same goal was inspiring, and we’re already looking forward to joining again next year.
From the Science Appliance family to the Habitat for Humanity crew: thank you for letting us be a small part of something so big.
